Buoys Reimagined
These buoys were originally used by fishermen as gear for the Spiny Lobster fishery, but after a long winter full of swell and storms they can end up detached and ultimately on the beaches along the Southern California coast. All of the buoys Meg uses are found on and removed from Wima (Santa Rosa Island) or Limuw (Santa Cruz Island). The buoy removal and marine debris program is supported by the work of the Santa Rosa Island Research Station, check them out here, and a video from one of the trips here!
